Furnaces are at least 15 to 25 percent more energy efficient than standard models
MILWAUKEE – Luxaire® Acclimate™ Series 97.5 percent and above AFUE gas furnaces from Johnson Controls are at least 15 to 25 percent more energy efficient than standard models, earning them the ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient 2017 designation, when combined with touch-screen Communicating Control thermostats. The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2017 designation is awarded to the most efficient products among those that qualify for ENERGY STAR. The Acclimate LP9C models also received a Consumers Digest Best Buy recognition.
The furnaces’ modulating burner design continuously adjusts heating levels in small increments to match the precise degree of heating required, while their innovative GeoTrak™ Comfort System creates an operating cycle that works best for any climate. A variable-speed ECM blower motor ensures quiet, efficient operation, while the units’ sound-reducing design minimizes vibration and sound during operation.
Precise system operation is further enhanced when furnaces are paired with the Luxaire Acclimate Hx™ Thermostat with Wi-Fi®-enabled touch-screen. Advanced manufacturing processes and systematic testing at the Johnson Controls Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) facilities ensures reliability, and furnaces are backed by a lifetime heat exchanger, 10-year parts warranty and one-year limited labor warranty.
The units’ compact 33-inch height provides room for the use of larger coils and IAQ accessories. Technicians will also appreciate the built-in trap and multi-position design for quick and simple installations and system self-monitoring and diagnostics for reliable operation. Contractors can access the system remotely, when granted permission by the homeowner, to evaluate system operation.
