With the rising costs in America, there are individuals throughout the State of Texas that do not have
the means to stay cool in these extreme weather conditions.
Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association of Greater Austin (TACCA GA) coordinates to provide
Licensed HVAC Contractor Members that volunteer their services to assist individuals within the Greater
Austin area.
TACCA GA partners each year with Meals on Wheels & Habitat for Humanity to find low income or
fixed income individuals that are in need of maintenance, repairs, parts or full replacements, at no cost
to the homeowner to ensure they stay cool during the summer months. TACCA GA has dedicated and
committed partners such as Ferguson, Robert Madden Industries and ACES Supply that donate parts,
supplies and equipment for this community project.
During the second week of June, TACCA GA volunteers conducted inspections, maintenance, service,
repairs and recommendations for over 40 homes, and on June 20th, TACCA GA replaced two full HVAC
units and 1 Condenser at no cost to three local families without operating a/c in their homes.
coolCARE Protection Plans donated Protection plans to all three homeowners
that will cover labor on the equipment through the participating contractor.
We would like to say THANK YOU to the HVAC Contractors that participated by donating their time and
resources to their communities!
